Product Concept

In chemical laboratories, various harmful and odorous gases, odors, moisture, and corrosive substances are generated during experimental operations. In order to protect the safety of users and prevent the spread of pollutants from the experiment to the laboratory, fume hoods should be used near the pollution source.

This model of fume hood is a customized fume hood for perchloric acid. Please conduct experiments according to the chemical characteristics of perchloric acid. During the experiment, you need to follow the relevant experimental operation procedures. Do not directly hang high-concentration and high-dose perchloric acid experiments in the fume hood. The alkaline water neutralization circulation system after the baffle plate of the fume hood is a primary neutralization system. Its function is to ensure that perchloric acid residues do not accumulate in the fume hood, thereby causing combustion, explosion, or large-scale heat generation chemical reactions. It does not guarantee that the relevant national emission standards for exhaust gas can be met. If the corresponding national environmental protection emission standards are to be met, a secondary neutralization reaction needs to be performed on the fan side.

1. The cabinet is made of seamlessly welded porcelain white PP board that is resistant to strong acids and alkalis, chemical substances, and impacts, with a thickness of 8mm. The whole has the characteristics of being resistant to strong acids and alkalis, impact-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and never rusting.

2. The countertop is available in various materials such as solid core chemical-resistant board, PP board, and ceramic board.

3. The cabinet can be equipped with water and gas faucets, a sink, and control valves. An auxiliary air intake is provided on the front panel to provide supplemental air when the sliding door is closed.

4. The inner lining is made of 8mm thick PP board with an integrated welding process, ensuring excellent airtightness between the linings. This ensures that harmful gases of different densities generated during different experiments can be completely discharged. The baffle plate is equipped with a spray system that can neutralize acidic gases in the exhaust gas before discharge.

5. The viewing window is made of 5mm thick tempered glass, which is safe and explosion-proof. The four sides of the viewing window frame and the left and right sliding tracks of the sliding door are made of PVC material, molded, and fixed with stainless steel self-tapping screws in key parts to enhance stability, making the sliding door slide smoothly and quietly, and ensuring that the frame does not derail.

6. All internal components are made of PP material, and all connections are made using an integrated welding process, providing excellent toughness and stability. This ensures the fume hood's performance and lifespan during experiments in harsh environments such as strong acids, strong alkalis, and strong corrosion.

7. Equipped with a control panel, the cabinet's lighting, electrical system, and airflow adjustment system can all be operated via the control panel.

8. Uses a laboratory-grade 10A or 16A three-pole multi-functional socket, featuring dustproof, acid and alkali resistant, and waterproof design.

9. This product includes a circulating water dilution system, containing an acid and alkali resistant circulating pump, water tank, and a complete water circulation system. The spray system is used to neutralize the exhaust gas.

10. Circulating water dilution system: In experiments conducted inside the perchloric acid fume hood, there may be a perchloric acid aerosol release process. Therefore, the fume hood needs to be operated under rated high air volume exhaust conditions, with design values of 1200/1500/1800 CMH. The perchloric acid mixes and contacts with the alkaline water after the baffle plate of the fume hood. The chemical reaction is: HClO4 + NaOH ==== NaClO4 + H2O. The neutralized product is a neutral product with a pH value between 7 and 14.

Therefore, the circulating treatment system designed in this project is made of chemically resistant materials. A buffer tank is installed at the bottom of the fume hood, and a PP water pump is connected to the outlet side. The water pump is connected to the atomizing tube behind the guide plate. The water pump outputs the alkaline solution to the atomizing tube in the form of medium pressure. After passing through the atomizing tube, it becomes a fine water droplet and mixes with the perchloric acid gas to complete the chemical reaction. Under the influence of gravity, the product re-enters the buffer tank of the water pump through the technical interlayer for circulation.
